Where can I park?

Parking for participants is in the main campus garage. All participants must be parked there by 7:30 am, at which point access closes in and out. Cars will be able to exit starting at 8:45 am. The main campus garage is located HERE!


What safety measures will be in place?

We will follow the California Department of Public Health guidelines for large outdoor events.

Will there be added health safety measures at this year’s Heart & Soles Run?

The health and safety of the running community are our top priority. We are working with our city, county, state, and health agency partners to plan a safe and exciting event. We recognize that guidelines are likely to change between now and May and we will continue to keep runners updated on the latest health and safety procedures and guidelines.

Will 2022 Heart & Soles Run participants be required to be vaccinated?

Covid-19 vaccination is recommended for all participants. Attendees without vaccination status are recommended to wear face coverings. Schedule your free vaccine shot here!

Will 2022 Heart & Soles Run participants be required to wear masks?

We recommend that you wear a mask or face covering for the safety of yourself and others.

Are there any discounts?

No.  There are no individual or group discounts. This event raises money for our local youth programs, so we would like to give as much money as possible to them.

Will there be any registration allowed onsite?

Yes, we want lots of participation. Our events have sold out in the past – so we do recommend registering early as there is no guarantee that there will be open registration spots on race day.

When does online registration close?

Online registration will stay open till 7:45 a.m. on race day, plus there will be on-site race day registration at 7:00 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. Please note our race has a participant cap and we cannot guarantee there will be open registration spots on race day.

Can I pick up my packet on the event day?

We will be offering onsite registration and packet pickup the morning of the race.


When/where do we pick up our Heart & Soles race shirts?

You can pick up your bib and shirt at the Sports Basement Sunnyvale Packet Pick Up on May 6th from 12 – 6 PM.

If you selected shipping, your packet will be mailed out the week of April 25th. You MUST be registered by April 27th to receive your packet by race day.

Do the race shirts come in women’s and men’s sizes?

Shirts are available in men’s, women’s, and youth’s sizes.

What do I need when I go to bib pick-up?

You’ll need to know the first and last name of the runner.

Can I pick up my friend’s packet?

Yes, you need the first and last name of the participant.


Where and when will the race results be posted?

After the race, results will be posted at the run site and on our website.

Will there be awards for the runners?

Medals will be given to the first three men’s/women’s for 5K and 10K finishers in each race distances

(Please note this will not be a certified course). Sports Basement gift cards for top finishers in each age group.


Is the race happening rain or shine?

Yes, the race will definitely happen–even a little rain won’t dampen our enthusiasm!

Where are the restrooms?

Restrooms are located in the main festival area past the finish line area.

I’ve lost someone (child, parent, friend) what do I do?

Go to the starting line or main stage, so staff can make an announcement.
