KIDS WHO EXERCISE & EAT BETTER, LEARN BETTER

Our Benefiting Youth Programs

Our Mission and Focus

The Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation is excited to work with its Heart and Soles Run’s benefiting organizations to fund projects relevant to the “Healthy Students” in the community. Funds raised through the run for our beneficiary partners will be used to promote increased physical activity and access to healthy foods among the student populations they serve.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley

The Boys and Girls Club is a youth service organization promoting youth guidance through educational, vocational, recreational, social, and character development. These initiatives develop young people’s capacities to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their own well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.

Heart & Soles funding will help to support exercise programs, equipment acquisition, and facility improvements.

Santa Clara County Office of Education, Wellness Centers

School-based Wellness Centers provide an opportunity for students to receive timely access to mental health services through an easily accessible universal Wellness Center on school campuses. The Santa Clara County Office of Education is supporting the development and expansion of Wellness Centers throughout Santa Clara County.  Access to Wellness Centers allows youth to benefit from prevention and early intervention, peer support, and promoting wellness. The Wellness Centers offer an opportunity for ongoing professional development and access to information for teachers and staff to support physical, social, emotional, and mental wellness activities for students throughout the year.

Heart & Soles funding will assist with the development and expansions of Wellness Centers throughout Santa Clara County.
